This practice targets the connective tissues, such as the ligaments, fascia, and even the joints of the body that normally are not exercised very much in a more active style of yoga practice. This restorative class offers an opportunity to soften, surrender, and slow down. Poses are typically held for 3-5 minutes and use no muscle tension allowing gravity to help surrender to the poses. A variety of props may be used. Class is taught at room temperature.
